Situated in an attractive Edwardian terrace, only a few minutes walk from both Minehead town centre and seafront. This family-run, non-smoking guest house is proud of its reputation for 'quality, comfort and style...' All rooms have been individually decorated and furnished to a high standard, are centrally heated and include the usual amenities as you would expect from a guest house of this quality. All have their own en suite shower room. Breakfast is served in a spacious dining room, where a varied selection of items are offered, using, wherever possible, local, organic and fairtrade products. A homely lounge provides the ideal place to relax, read a good book and meet other guests. Glendower is not licensed, but guest are welcome to bring their own drinks which can be chilled if required. Standing in its own grounds, the hotel is in an elevated position in the small village of Blue Anchor. This small friendly non smoking hotel has become renowned for its particular blend of comfort and personal service. The hotel enjoys magnificent views of the sea and the hills of glorious Exmoor which are a feast for the eyes at any time of year. We are approximately three miles from the medieval village of Dunster with its fairy-tale castle. The traditional seaside resort of Minehead is five miles by road. The town offers shops, golf, sea-fishing trips, riding stables and an indoor swimming pool. The harbour is pretty and the old part of the town around the Church is worth exploring on the way up to North Hill which gives spectacular views of the coast and surrounding hills.
