On the road from Ragusa leading to the sea, Poggio del Sole Resort ( Sun s Hill Resort ) dominates the charming Hyblean plateau amid a mixture of rugged valleys and hills, carob and olive trees, and a thick lattice of dry stone walls. Situated in the heart of the Ragusa countryside, the old fashioned building hosts 3 suites, the refined Dell Angelo ( of the Angel ) restaurant, the Degli Archi ( of the Arches ) conference room and a Lounge Bar. Newly constructed is the more informal Osteria (carvery) with its stone oven and the newly restored rooms. The seaside is only 10 minutes by car from the resort.
