Danaos Hotel
Rooms From: £38
According to Greek mythology, Danaos was a semi-God with origins in the Middle East. He was the protector of Greek islands and the King of Argos. In Homerus Heliade, the Greeks are called Danae, because of his name.
Danaos Hotel and its 33 rooms were built in 1992 on Nea Chora beach, 1.5 kilometres from Chania centre and its beautiful Venetian Harbour. Some of the rooms have a direct view over the sea and the sandy beach of Nea Chora, which is only a couple of metres away. It is famous for its friendly atmosphere and is open 12 months a year.
Danaos is also a perfect base for exploring the old town of Chania and the surrounding countryside.
Chania is situated on the northwest coast area of Crete with wonderful sandy beaches and surrounded by beautiful untouched nature. In the distance behind the city are the towering white mountains of "Lefka Ori". Here is a true hiker's paradise with splendid mountains and beautiful gorges to stroll through, with many acres of olive and orange groves.
Please note that your reservation will be charged to your card 7 days prior to arrival.
