Set in 21 acres of mature parkland and gardens, bordering Nairn Golf Course - host of the Walker Cup in 1999. The Newton Hotel, with 56 bedrooms, is an imposing building in a secluded location.


Built as a family home in 1872 and a hotel since 1951, in recent years The Newton has seen a number of improvements, including refurbishment of all bedrooms in the original building as well as the addition of The Highland Conference Centre and a wing of spacious master bedrooms.

Coming from Edinburgh/Glasgow on the a9 follow signs for Inverness. When you reach Inverness, follow the signs for Aberdeen a96, Nairn is 16 miles east of Inverness. Once into Nairn, pass the petrol station on your right hand side and continue on and take the second left hotel signposted The Newton Hotel & Highland Conference Centre, follow the tree lined drive to the hotel. Coming from Aberdeen on the A96, stay on this road until you reach Nairn, once in Nairn go through 3 sets of traffic lights all the time following the signs for Inverness. Once through the 3rd set of traffic lights pass the school on the left hand side then come to a church on the corner on the right hand side. Pass this still on the A96. Take the 2nd right signed Newton Gate. There is a sign here for The Newton Hotel & Highland Conference Centre. By Air: Regular daily flights operate between London Gatwick Easyjet & British Airways, London Luton Easyjet, London Heathrow British Midland, Birmingham & Manchester Eastern Airways and Zurich, Switzerland (May-August). By Rail: Nairn is on the main line between Inverness and Aberdeen with regular connections from both, Nairn station is approx 1 mile from the hotel. By Bus: A regular daily bus service runs from both Inverness and Aberdeen every half hour.
